Holiday Showcase

Holiday Showcase …on Chestnut is a festive open-house designed for you to celebrate the season. Whether you’re looking forward to a relaxing afternoon of music, holiday shopping for unique gifts and treasures, or just “mingling and jingling” with friends over hot drinks and cookies, this event promises something for everyone!

There is no admission charge. Enjoy holiday cheer throughout the afternoon,
Noon to 4:30pm:

  • –Holiday      music by local performers
  • –Purchase      truly unique gifts from arts & crafters:  A unique selection of special holiday items,      including  …felted items  …original & reproduction      holiday cards  …jewelry  …fiber gift items       …quilts  …wood carvings …fresh green wreaths & garlands,      and more!
  • –Art      demonstrations by the artists
  • Purchase raffle tickets to win art pieces by the      artists
  • –Chestnut      Center’s “Once-Loved Art” Silent Auction* starts advance bidding one week before Holiday      Showcase, and continues through the event, ending at 3:45pm
  • –Hot      cocoa, coffee & treats
  • –Family      Holiday Craft Sessions

Chairpersons Terri Grierson and Freddie Scott, as well as Chestnut’s host of generous volunteers, create the perfect seasonal atmosphere for relaxed socializing and stress-free shopping.

Make “Holiday Showcase…on Chestnut!” a part of your Christmas tradition. There is no admission charge, a gift from Chestnut Avenue Center for the Arts to you! Hot cider, cocoa, coffee and cookies will be served all afternoon.

The Center is located at the corner of Third Street and Chestnut Avenue in downtown Marshfield. Don’t forget to cross Third Street during the afternoon to visit historic Upham Mansion’s Christmas Open House, which runs 1:30-4:00pm.

*NOTE ABOUT THE AUCTION: Throughout the afternoon, bids can be made at the “Once-Loved Art” Silent Auction. Auction items in the past have included watercolors, oils, acrylics, photos, collages, wood block prints and museum posters – all graciously donated by their previous owners, generous friends of Chestnut Center. Anyone interested in donating a work of art to the auction, please call the Center at (715) 389-8999–we’re now collecting work year ’round!
